Health and Fitness Specialist (On-Call)

Aquila's *Health and Fitness Specialist (as needed) *assists members in safe and effective exercise and performs a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health/fitness center.
This position on a part-time, as-needed basis to provide coverage at our corporate fitness center.

You will enjoy all of the following benefits at Aquila: * Paid Sick Leave * Commuter pre-tax benefits * Fitness retailers discount programs * Monday to Friday schedule, no weekend or holiday work As a *Health and Fitness Specialist, *your responsibilities include: * Supervise exercise areas * Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques * Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines * Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations * Aid members - spotting and equipment usage * Explain all equipment * Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment * Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures * Adhere to client’s policies and procedures * Attend staff meetings * Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events * Perform daily administrative duties
