has an immediate need for a Javelin Instructor to join our team at HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
Description:
The Javelin Instructor will review and assess system (hardware, software, operator) performance, identify problems/issues, recommend solutions and advise/instruct Active Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve soldiers and other Government agencies as operators/gunners for the Javelin Weapon System and its associated training and support devices.
This position requires extensive travel approximately 120-200 days per year.
Responsibilities:
· Review and prepare changes and/or comments on new equipment capability, operator training programs and Program of Instruction (POI).
· Ensure ranges and training facilities meet or exceed required standards.
· Test and validate test data for potential upgrades to the weapon system.
· Coordinate and implement accelerated instruction and support for units deploying in support of national security interests.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent.

· 5-12 years of experience as a Trainer/Facilitator
· 5+ years of military service or as a Government contractor with experience as an operator/gunner for missile systems, artillery or other military weapons at the individual, squad or weapons section level is preferred.
· Ability to perform as an instructor for fielded tactical and associated training devices in both a classroom setting and hands-on equipment training.
· Ability to meet 50 pound lift requirement (Javelin CLU with round attached approximately 50 pounds).
· A Secret security clearance is required.
