*Overall Responsibility:*
Evaluate student needs and eligibility for financial aid, select candidates and determine type and amount of financial assistance to be awarded; coordinate assigned financial aid programs.
*The following responsibilities are handled by the FAO and are not all inclusive:*
· Analyze financial information submitted by applicants utilizing established federal and Academy standards and guidelines to determine financial needs; select candidates and determine type and amount of financial aid to be awarded.
· Assist in the preparation of student financial assistance policies for the Academy; correspond and conduct interviews with applicants and their parents, counsel students and answer inquiries from various sources on financial aid policies and procedures.
· Assist in making application for federal funds for government loan programs; administer rules and regulations set forth by the federal government concerning government funds.
· Coordinate and administer assigned financial aid programs; develop and implement new initiatives within assigned program area as appropriate.
· Prepare detailed reports and compile information concerning financial aid and assigned programs as requested by the federal government and Academy owner.
· Edit for publication brochures, questionnaires, applications and other material distributed by the Financial Aid Office.
· Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

· Meet with each incoming student/parents to review financial aid and get loan papers signed
· Communicate with parent/student to get fafsa/loan forms completed-twice for each student on government loans.
· Meet with any student interested in utilizing consumer educational loans
· Mail out letters and parent plus check for parent’s endorsement
· Collect and record all tuition payments (cash, pell, loans) for each student and date enter into Student software
· Request pell for every eligible student up to 4 times per student
· Print out transcripts; have signed to document 85% grades and 85% attendance (SAP) for every student receiving loan checks/pell.
Print out transcripts for cash paying students and have signed 2-4 times depending on the length of the program
· Take loan checks to educator so they can have student endorse check
· Compile daily deposits and if at the owner’s request, deposit tuition checks into the bank.
· Tuition Summary recorded daily with weekly Tuition Summary to Owner at the end of each week so Owner can cross check with Quick Books
· Monthly Income Projection Sheet to Owner monthly
· Validate, track and print weekly hours completed by each student
· SSCR Worksheets done quarterly
· Compile data for Yearly Audit
· Government Reports: IPEDS report three times per year; Campus Security report; NACCAS report; 1098T’s to student and IRS
· Attend yearly (minimum) financial aid training sessions
· Compile data for Program Review if Academy is selected to complete a review.
