Position Description: The candidate will work alongside the Vice President, Business Operations to analyze and consolidate financial results for reporting to high-level management.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Contribute to the management team with strategy, leadership, and coordination in administrative, profit and loss business planning, accounting, and growth efforts.
Performing financial forecasting, annual business plan and rolling plan, variance analysis of actual versus forecast, and reconciliation of internal accounts to assess strategic decision alternatives.
Performs monthly analaysis on budget, cash flow, and profit and loss.
Assist in the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare financial related analysis and research in areas such as financial and cost saving performance measures.
Participate in annual budget process and cost saving activities in tandem with each business unit.
Provide important business information and support ad-hoc reports as directed by management.
Support creation of materials for various management reviews and meetings.
Provide financial leadership to the business, helping drive profitable growth.
Lead existing and initiate new financial management processes/workflow as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Location: Huntsville, AL or remote Status: Full-time Basic Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be a US Citizen and hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Statistics, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial field.
Desired qualifications include experience with small businesses, proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and Unanet, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Additionally, the candidate must possess or be eligible to attain a security clearance.
Desired: The candidate must demonstrate self-motivation and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This role involves in-depth financial analysis on projects, business segments, and corporate entities.
Strategic thinking and organizational skills as well as understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is desired.
Experience with forecasting and creation of documentation, reports, and presentations is desired.
The candidate must be able to work independently on complex Business Operations, IT, and Finance modeling and monthly status reporting as well as present to company leadership on a regular basis.
