Job Description Summary Under the supervision of Redstone Family Realty’s management team, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for performing a wide range of routine accounting processes including but not limited to, maintaining accurate ledgers, processing payment of vendor invoices, monitoring the cash levels of escrow accounts, processing payments to agents and brokers, and acting as the liaison with accounting contractors to provide information necessary to complete reconciliation and account audits.
Job Description Essential Functions Maintains records of financial transactions by managing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance.
Follows protocols to account for financial transactions in established charts of accounts based on policies and procedures.
Track and process accounts payable and accounts receivable to be able to provide information related to current company assets and performance.
Ensures the accuracy of all payments and deposits.
Maintains strict confidentiality of company accounts.
Examines errors and outages of company accounts to determine necessary steps to correct.
Monitors escrow account to maintain compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
Acts as double check and processes payment of all agent and broker commissions with regard to individual agent and broker splits.
Tracks agent and broker caps to determine applicable payments are calculated correctly.
Assists in month end reconciliation of real estate and property management accounts.
Assists in the creation of financial statements.
Creates invoices as needed for property management department.
Acts as point of contact for all vendor payments.
Acts as primary point of contact to accounting contractors.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or financial recordkeeping duties required.
Prior accounts payable experience preferred.
Education in accounting or related field preferred.
Skills/Abilities Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Data entry skills.
Attention to detail.
Experience working with spreadsheet programs.
Experience using Brokermint, Buildium, or similar software.
Ability to communicate in a professional manner while delivering information clearly and effectively.
Ability to utilize basic computer and office equipment.
Time management skills.
