Temporary Part-Time Account Receivable
Job Summary
Temporary Part-Time Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for supporting the AR department and assisting with day-to-day operations.
This short-term role involves gaining hands-on experience in accounts receivable processes, financial analysis, and exposure to real-world business operations.
The projected hours per week will be 20-30 hours and the conclusion date for this position is June 28, 2024.
Account Receivable Responsibilities
Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
Processing and recording transactions.
Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date.
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
Generating reports and statements for internal use.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team.
Account Receivable Requirements
Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with bookkeeping software.
Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Attention to detail.
Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
Education and experience
High School Diploma minimum
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a plus.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong math, typing and experience with bookkeeping software.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
