The BDS Space Launch System Finance team is looking for a dynamic and driven Financial Analyst to contribute to this historic endeavor.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing essential financial and cost management analysis for the world's largest and most powerful rocket.
The selected candidate will be responsible for: Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support the Space Launch System program, ensuring accurate and timely reporting Collaborate with program teams to develop and maintain financial forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies Cost Management: Monitor program expenses, identifying trends and potential risks Provide recommendations for cost optimization and contribute to cost-benefit analysis Reporting and Briefings: Prepare comprehensive financial reports for various stakeholders, including Finance and Program Leadership Develop and present financial information for briefings, ensuring clarity and transparency Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams within the SLS Program and Boeing Defense and Space Finance organization to ensure financial alignment and accuracy Collaborate on strategic initiatives and financial planning activities Data Gathering and Analysis: Gather and analyze business information and requirements related to Earned Value Management (EVM) program execution Coordinate change activities and support monitoring, ensuring accuracy and relevance of data Reporting and Forecasting: Develop and update information and reports for project management and business stakeholders Assist in preparing routine performance reports and contribute to variance analyses Baseline Development: Support the development and maintenance of cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value Assist in developing business cases using appropriate indices Quality Control: Perform quality control actions to ensure the integrity of business information Support baseline activities and administer relevant processes Position Responsibilities: Maintains financial controls related to financial system activities Supports baseline and estimate at completion system incorporation activities Reviews and validates change documents (CDs) as part of baseline execution Responsible for financial system month end processing activities and financial system data integrity Reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends Prepares monthly financial reporting deliverables, both internal and external Initiates variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to management Provides daily and weekly cost reporting utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) Participates in and supports affordability initiatives and exercises This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
