BMSS Advisors & CPAs are looking for a talented individual with Controller experience to add to our CAS team.
BMSS was established in Birmingham in 1991 and has grown to become a top 100 advisory and CPA firm in the U.
S.

We have four locations in Alabama and recently added one in Mississippi, this candidate can work at any of our locations!
We are experiencing an explosion in growth and have several roles we would like to fill in this area.
Additionally, beyond our CAS services we provide tax planning, compliance and assurance, merger and acquisition, advisory, wealth management, accounting services, payroll, and IT Support.

Skills needed to be successful:
Financial Oversight:
Provide expert-level financial guidance and support to clients in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial policies.
Month-end Close:
Lead and manage the month-end closing process, including reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports to clients.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with clients to develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Conduct periodic reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
Client Communication:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and addressing any financial concerns or inquiries.
Provide clear and concise financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the CAS practice.
Implement best practices to optimize financial workflows.
