PPT Solutions is seeking a UAS Cost Analyst in Huntsville, AL.
As our Cost Analyst, you will assist the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Project Management Office (PMO) by providing cost estimates to ensure mission requirements are met.
To thrive in this role you need to have experience developing IGCEs and be proficient using cost estimating tools such as ACEIT.
You'll know you're successful when concurrence is received for the estimates provided.
Responsiblities for the UAS Cost Analyst:
Develop, update, and maintain Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs), Program Office Estimates (POEs), and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Utilize Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT) in development and review of cost analyses.
Assist in the development of the Cost Analysis Requirements Document (CARD)
Evaluate contractor cost data to include Earned Value and Cost Performance Reports.
Analyze the following cost elements: labor, travel, materials, other ODC, overhead, G&A and cost of money.
Evaluate various Courses of Actions (COAs) in the development of an Analysis of Alternatives (AoA).
Defend cost estimating methodologies to senior leadership and Cost Review Board (CRB) members.
Translate technical system requirements into cost elements while developing Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs).
Analyze historical learning and rate curve data and incorporate methodology into cost estimates.
Assist in the development of Contractor Software Data Report (CSDR) plans.
Develop Program Objective Memorandum (POM) briefings to include program funding and cost requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the UAS Cost Analyst:
BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience and minimum 3 years in Cost Estimating Field.
Must have 5 years of experience in an advanced cost analysis/financial position.
Must have experience in generating: Life Cycle Cost Estimates, Independent Government Estimates, cost input to Acquisition Program Baselines, Business Case Analysis, and Cost as an Independent Variable analysis.
Must have 1 year of experience using Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tool (ACEIT).
Must have the ability to respond quickly and accurately to "What-if" drills concerning program delays, acceleration in schedule, and cuts/increases to the existing funding profile using ACEIT and offline in Excel.
Must have strong skills and depth of experience in the development of an array of alternative solutions for program management challenges relating to cost, schedule, production, fielding and sustainment.
Must have exceptional written and oral presentation skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office suit of products.
Must be able to work independently as well as organizing and facilitating working groups.
Must have experience preparing detailed written reports and/or briefings suitable for presentation to senior level military and corporate leadership.
Experience developing Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) to support program management needs
Thorough understanding of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Preparing estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines
Analyzing mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be used in constructing cost models
Developing life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the program
May require travel up to 10%
Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
