Staff Accountant

EOS Defense Systems USA is looking for a driven accounting professional to support the ongoing financial health of the organization.
The Staff Accountant is a professional who's responsible for assessing business expenses and preparing optimized budget plans.
Their duties include reviewing financial records, researching the market rate for key business costs, and adjusting the company ledger to accurately reflect balance sheets.
This is an On-Site position.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or another related field.
2-4+ years of experience in finance, budgeting and accounting in a defense contracting environment.
Experience in financial reporting including desired
Understanding of accrual-based accounting
Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to reconcile balance sheet accounts with minimal guidance
Superior knowledge of ERP software
In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations desired
Excellent attention to detail
Effective communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
Collaboration and teamwork
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Thorough knowledgeable of financial reporting with the Income Statement and Balance Sheet
Project Costing/Forecasting (e.
g.
, EVM experience desired) to Budgeted Cost variance analysis
Collecting and analyzing data about a company's operational costs for variance analysis
Helping to develop standard costs of manufactured goods
Analyzing cost standards and manufacturing variances to those standards
Understanding of inventory transactions in a manufacturing environment (RM/WIP/FG)
Performing account reconciliations
Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure
Collaborate with other departments to assist with proposals and budgets.
Understanding of sales and use taxes as they apply in manufacturing
Experience with cash flow forecasting desirable
