Title:
Accounting Support Specialist (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
Identify, post, and reconcile incoming cash payments from multiple bank accounts to customer trade receivable balances and other accounts as applicable,
Prepare cash posting packages for management review and approval.
Archive all cash posting packages to Sharepoint to enable company-wide access,
Partner with customers, billers, and other KBR departments to identify incoming payments where remittance detail is lacking,
Track receipts per bank/per day to verify all cash is posted and to support related SOX testing of cash receipts,
Complete limited amount of account reconciliations in support of month end closing processes,
Under direct supervision, works within the Shared Services A/R team to complete assigned tasks that may require problem recognition/solving skills.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Must be a U.
S.
citizen
Bachelor’s degree preferred - high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience.
Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.
Familiarity with bank reporting practices is preferred but not required.
Basic/Intermediate Excel skills are required, including use of pivot tables and certain logical and mathematical formulas.
Attention to detail, accuracy, analysis, and ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with other team members is a must.
The ideal candidate for this position will be task oriented and self-motivated, a critical thinker, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
