*Accounting/Payroll Specialist Job Description*
* This is an *in-office position* at our corporate office in Madison, AL.
*Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist Salary*
* Salary based on experience, starting at $20/hr
*Accounting/Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities*
* Prepare financial statements
* General ledger posting, bank reconciliation, accounts-payable activities
* Assist with month-end close
* Employee expense reimbursements
* Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling credit card statements.
* Backup Accounting Manager in payroll and accounts payable activities
*Accounting/Payroll Specialist Position Requirements*
* High school diploma or equivalent is required
* College courses or completed degree with a concentration in accounting is preferred
* 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience including proficiency with general ledger processes, payroll, and accounts payable and receivable.
* Proficiency with *QuickBooks *and Microsoft Office products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
).
* Experience with *ADP* is highly preferred.
* Exceptional time management, communication, and problem solving skills
