Job Description:
Torch Technologies, Inc is looking for an Entry-level Payroll Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
An ideal candidate should have sound Microsoft Office skills and be able to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
People skills will be necessary as this position requires interaction with employees and managers daily.
Duties include the following:
Assist Payroll Accountant with review and process timesheets on a weekly basis in accordance with government contractor labor compliance and company policy.
Assist in all aspects of computing, reviewing, and processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
Assist with remitting withholdings for the 401k plan, garnishments, etc.
on a weekly basis.
Assist with Preparing and remitting weekly, biweekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll tax reports and payments.
Assist with preparing off-cycle payrolls for relocation, sign-on and severance bonuses as needed.
Gain an intimate knowledge of Torch polices regarding timekeeping and payroll to maintain integrity in the data and the employee payments.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent experience.
