Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Accounting Standards (IFRS).
Responsible for all financial operations (GL, A/R, A/P, Costing integrity, & Forecasting and Budgeting, Banking activities, and support of the payroll process).
Management duties include Accounting and IT staff for two locations.
Main responsibilities: • Direct and coordinate company financial long-term planning and annual budget management functions.
• Report against corporate benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, forecast, and prior years.
• Oversee daily operations of the Accounting/Finance department.
• Manage the preparation of company financial statements.
• Coordinate and oversee all company financial audits (internal and external).
• Maintain banking relations and coordination of banking activities.
• Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Manage and oversee information technology operations for the responsible locations.
• Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Serve as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues.
• Recommend and implement procedural improvements.
• Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
• Ability to lead or participate in Cost Reduction and Continuous Improvement projects • Support all ad-hoc financial informational requirements as requested • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds • Ability to perform basic math skills and measurements • Other duties as assigned Requirements: Qualifications and experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, Master’s degree preferred • Preferably five to ten years of experience in a senior-level industrial finance or accounting position.
CPA is not required.
CMA is preferred.
• Must be able to read and write English • Extensive knowledge and experience with manufacturing-based ERP/MRP systems • Proficient using MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint • Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Accounting Standards.
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, standard costing systems and product-line profitability analysis • Knowledge and experience in a Manufacturing environment (electronics a plus) • Experience in directing teams of managers to continuously improve operational performance Behavioral requirements: • Strong computer, analytical, and communication skills • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
