Peace all,
We’re Gabby and Tanner and we’re looking for a 3rd roommate to join us in our beautiful home in West Seattle!
A little about us:
Gabby (she/they), I'm 33, I'm Afro-Caribbean, hailing from the East Coast.
I am the Co-Executive Director of a non-profit (work from home), teach yoga and facilitate sound healing.
I am in a healing relationship with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), c-PTSD and ADHD.
Tanner (they/he), 30, I’m a gender non-conforming, masc-presenting white person.
I’ve lived in various intentional communities/co-housing situations before and am on my own chronic health healing journey.
I am also a musician, singer, performing artist and tarot enthusiast.
We are both vaccinated and would prefer to live with someone who is vaxxed.
We’re looking to live with someone with skill in conflict resolution who can collaborate around disagreement as well as skill in cooperative celebration and mutual aid.
We are into co-regulation and overall nervous system awareness and regulation.
We enjoy music/artistry, shared meals, and shared experiences.
Our approach to co-living is low stakes, low expectations yet committed to consistent upkeep of the home both infra-structurally and interpersonally.
Our quiet hours are from 10pm-9am.
Tanner has voice lessons at 12am in our backyard studio every Thursday but the studio is being soundproofed so you will generally not be able to hear what’s happening in the studio while in the main house.
Strong preference for someone who works outside the home, is BIPOC and skilled at navigating living across intersections while living in a mixed race household.
The house is 1400sq ft, 3 beds, 2 bath.
The medium room is available and costs $1000/mo + utilities.
There's a washer and dryer on site as well as a garden and back patio space.
We are building out the shed to be a sound proofed healing space as well.
There is off street parking and a fireplace.
The space is not wheelchair accessible.
There are 2 steps to get into the house and 2 steps to access the back patio.
We’re a mostly sober household, but on special occasions we may relate with substances.
Room is not shared and gets light throughout the day, shades included.
House is 2 blocks from Delridge Ave bus line.
No couples or children please.
Noise is low/med with space for higher volumes on occasion.
(Heads up also that this is not a scent free space.
)
FYI: Gabby has a Yorkie named Mamas who thinks she runs the house so we cannot have other pets.
If any of this sounds like a great fit, please reach out to us, we would love to hear from you!
