Water System Manager

Seeking an experienced Water System Manager to join Madison Utilities in Madison, AL, US - Responsible for ensuring safe and reliable water treatment and delivery to customers - Focus on compliance with government regulations and developing management strategies - Lead a team, plan system improvements, and respond to customer inquiries - Ideal candidate has strong operations and maintenance knowledge, strategic thinking skills, and is a great communicator - Great opportunity for professional growth in a reputable utility - Salary range: $92,000 - $160,000 per year Compensation: $92,000 - $160,000 yearly Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the water system, including maintenance, repairs, and customer satisfaction Monitor and enforce compliance with all regulatory standards including safety, health, and environment Develop and maintain efficient and cost-effective procedures and policies for water system operations Manage the water system's budget to ensure that funds are appropriately allocated and utilized Conduct regular water system inspections and suggest improvement plans for the areas of need Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental health, civil engineering, or related field of study and/or ADEM Grade 4 water certification Experience in a similar role, managing a water system Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize Customer Service Experience Construction and project management experience US Work Authorization Demonstrated experience leading a team and managing personnel Knowledgeable of relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to water systems About Company Provide abundant, affordable, and high-quality drinking water, environmentally sound, and affordable wastewater treatment and disposal, and provide efficient, reliable, and courteous service.
