As the Chef Manager of our cafeteria, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning.
You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, foster a positive work environment, and uphold our commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of cafeteria operations.
*Responsibilities:*
* Oversee all aspects of cafeteria operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality.
* Monitor and control costs, including food and labor expenses, to achieve financial objectives.
* Create and manage budgets, track expenses, and analyze financial reports.
* Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of cafeteria staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and excellence.
* Recruit, hire, and train new employees, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of food and other supplies.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop innovative menus, taking into consideration customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and nutritional guidelines.
* Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control are consistently met.
* Implement and maintain effective systems for inventory management, food rotation, and waste reduction.
* Foster a positive and welcoming dining experience for customers, addressing feedback, concerns, and special requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging best practices in cafeteria management.
* Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to food safety and sanitation.
