Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Software Engineering to lead their software development initiatives.
This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our organization, leading a talented team of software engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions which will save the lives of thousands of patients facing organ failure.
Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy: Develop and communicate a strategic vision for software development aligned with the company's overall objectives.
Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the software engineering team.
Collaborate with the executive, operations, and quality assurance teams to align technology initiatives with business goals.
Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance software engineering team.
Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities for the team members.
Technology Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of C# and ReactJS technologies.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements, evaluating and implementing new technologies as needed.
Provide technical guidance and support to the development team.
Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software projects.
Implement and improve development processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with project managers to set realistic project timelines and manage resources effectively.
Quality Assurance: Champion software quality and work with the Director of QA to ensure the implementation of best practices.
Establish and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and testing processes.
Drive continuous improvement in the software development and release processes.
Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proven experience (at least 5 years) in software engineering leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in leading and managing high-performing software engineering teams.
Demonstrable proficiency in C# and ReactJS.
Experience in agile development methodologies (e.
g.
Scrum).
Compensation & Benefits: $350,000 salary and performance-based bonuses.
Stock Options in their spin off company Paid Time Off (PTO) of 20 days per year Eight (8) paid standard NKR holidays per year.
Company profit sharing plan (typically 10% of salary).
