Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Supplier Program Management Specialist to join our Space Launch Systems team in Huntsville, Alabama.
Oversees the suppliers responsibility to design, development, qualification, testing and integration of new supplier systems and components.
Will also play a critical role in managing our supplier relationships, the delivery of high-quality products while contributing to the success of our space exploration mission and managing the end-to-end supplier program management process.
Position Responsibilities: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and project management, to define program requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
Proactively identifies and mitigates potential risks and issues, implementing appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
Monitors supplier performance, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and cost targets.
Provides technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities.
Develops current and projected work statement.
Leads and establishes the basis for recovery, corrective and preventative action plans.
Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders.
Develops and executes work movement plans.
This position is hybrid.
The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree.
(A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study).
More than 3 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements.
More than 3 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): More than 3 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity.
More than 3 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions.
More than 3 years of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
More than 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts and sub-contracts.
More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.
More than 3 years of experience in root cause analysis and Corrective action.
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.
) Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel: Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.
