Our team is excited to meet you! Job Overview & Responsibilities The General Procurement Leader is responsible for and directs teams in all phases of the supplier lifecycle, including: Market-leading strategic direction.
Requests for proposals, negotiation strategy, purchase order/subcontract definition and award, etc.
Risk and opportunity management, including early identification and resolution of issues.
Driving collaborative continuous process and product improvement with suppliers.
Optimizing transactional procurement efficiencies.
Novel intellectual property, payment and termination liability strategies.
Is a champion for supplier diversity.
Collaborates across the ULA Enterprise to coordinate resource demands.
Builds/leads cohesive teams that are multifunctional and typically include acquisition, engineering, finance, legal counsel, quality assurance, and other members.
Works with other ULA leaders to achieve results.
Translates strategy into actionable objectives and business plans.
Drives program execution.
Implements and tracks achievement of performance measures and utilizes leading indicators to predict performance and guide decision-making.
Looks for opportunities and is actively engaged to improve processes and results.
Strives for excellence in applying Supply Chain fundamentals and best practices.
Required Education Bachelor Required Years of Experience Minimum of 8 years of related work experience Basic Qualifications At least 8 years applicable experience in Supply Chain and Procurement, plus a minimum of 4 years of direct management or leadership experience in leading significant team objectives or teams of exempt employees.
Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, change management and influencing skills.
Must have demonstrated skills ability in developing, executing, and sustaining a best-in-class supplier chain acquisition strategy.
Ability to establish key measures of success and implement accountability and continuous process improvement structures.
Experience having led and directed continuous improvement projects to include planning, defining requirements and budget, project controls, and success criteria.
Financial and technical acumen.
Experience in developing and executing financial forecasts.
Superior negotiations skills.
People/supplier relationship skills to build effective relationships both internally and externally.
Ability to travel approximately 20-30%.
Preferred Qualifications Previous leadership skills demonstrated, both direct leadership management and significant project objective management.
Deep knowledge in a core major subcontract product (ex: liquid engines, boosters, avionics or composites) including development and recurring product strategies.
Significant demonstrated negotiations strategy development.
Demonstrated understanding of creative contract structures to minimize risk exposure.
Demonstrated skills with concisely and effectively presenting at the senior executive level.
