*Job Position Title: *Assistant General Manager at Exhibition Hub Denver *Salary: *$55,000 annually *Job Description Summary:* Exhibition Hub Holdings, LLC is a curator, producer and distributor of large exhibitions across the world, from Brazil to China.
We deliver edutainment experiences, focusing on digital art immersive experiences including the works of Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt and Banksy.
We have produced more than 70 exhibitions across the world and have reached more than 6 million visitors.
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of service to all guests of the exhibition.
This person will excel at leading the on-site staff in team building, and all other areas of staff management with the sole intention of providing exceptional guest experience.
The AGM will assist the GM in their responsibilities and ensures that all health and safety protocols are adhered to, and that the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the exhibitions and the venue at large are kept to a high standard.
The AGM also adheres to a high standard of confidentiality.
The AGM reports to the Venue General Manager, the Executive Producer and the Operations Management Team and may acts as the venue liaison with the Production Team for any technical or other required production maintenance.
It is inevitable that over time the emphasis of this job may well change without altering the general character of the role or the level of duties and responsibilities entailed.
This information will be periodically reviewed, revised, and updated in consultation with the post- holder to reflect appropriate changes.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* *Building Operations* ● Ensure the smooth, safe operation of all activity at the site.
● Meet or exceed the company standards of providing a high quality guest experience ●Ensure all front and rear of house areas are presented to a high standard, are secure and always remain health and safety compliant.
● Ensure that all building systems are always maintained and fully operational, with a particular focus on all life safety systems and security.
● Maintain and revise, as appropriate, a safe and efficient evacuation procedure for the building, updating staff evacuation training regularly and to a high standard.
● Ensure that the Venue Management Team is properly trained on any opening or closing procedures, including security, evacuation procedures and all other necessary health and safety practices.
● Ensure that the Venue Management Team and Staff are given the tools and support to perform their job well, and that all part-time staff are fully trained in a detailed manner, specifically in relation to guest services, evacuation procedures and health and safety practices.
● Be a primary key holder for the building, responding to security and fire alarm calls when required.
● Oversee the management of the cleaning contract, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the building.
● Work with Ops Team and Production Team to manage the organization’s IT needs and to ensure all periodic inspections and checks that meet licensing, health and safety obligations are carried out appropriately, and certification, risk assessments and any other due diligence and/or auditable paperwork is completed and maintained professionally.
* Assist load in/load out tasks.
*Management & Administration* ● Effectively manage the supervisors and staff, delegating operational and administrative duties as necessary.
● Proactively involved in the recruitment of all operational staff.
● Assist with payroll and departmental budgets effectively, always minimizing wherever reasonably possible.
● Manage Box Office, Gift Shop, VR, Front of House, Cleaning, Security, and other operational staff.
● Partner with production and the Director of Ops to ensure all internal and external marketing and information displays are maintained effectively and in accordance with marketing plans.
● Provide support to all users of the building with regards to physical access requirements.
● Ensure that all visitors to the venue have the best possible experience, training all front-facing staff in exceptional guest service skills.
*Retail Shop Responsibilities to include the following:* Responsible for providing a first-class experience for our visitors with exceptional customer service in the Shop area, stock management and control, and maintaining a clean and comfortable selling environment.
* Shop management * Merchandise stock control, including weekly stock takes * Regular reporting to the company’s Merchandising Manager * Staff supervision in the shop area * Cash handling with accuracy and consistency * To follow all procedures for promotional activities * Answering visitor queries and/or complaints * Perform inventory audits *Education and/or Work Experience:* ● Must be at least 18 years of age ● Prefer college graduate ● Management experience ● Prefer retail experience ● Knowledgeable of safety compliance * Prefer group event experience *Skills & Abilities:* ● The ability to read, speak and effectively understand the English language ● The role will require standing and/or walking for much of the time ● Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables ● Must possess above average communication skills ● Knowledgeable of effectively maintaining departmental budgets and payroll ● Microsoft Office ● Ability to learn and understand the exhibit material to be able to answer general guest queries ● Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines ● Must be able to pass a background check and provide three business references Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.
