Shift Supervisor- 2nd Shift

*Duties and Responsibilities:* * Responsible to see that the plant runs and that the production schedule is maintained while he/she is on duty.
* Oversee the staff and achieve all production goals.
Make critical decisions around schedule fulfillment and enforce all policies and procedures including those related to quality, food safety and sanitation programs.
* Execute production schedules.
* Ensure production rates are being met by each work cell.
* See that changeovers are completed in the allotted time slot they are given.
* Ensure that all equipment is operational.
* Prioritize breakdowns and communicate to maintenance.
Follow up on all urgent maintenance issues.
* Complete production reporting for the shift (daily estimation).
* Time balancing and crystal reports in Global Shop.
* Ensure that all products produced on their shift meet the specifications set forth by the quality department.
* Post the Who’s In report within the first hour of the shift.
* Approve scheduled paid time (PTO) off requests.
* Complete accident investigations and witness statements.
* Ensure all employees adhere to all GMP’s, PPE and safety policies.
* Conduct daily shift meetings.
* Share performance expectations and provide feedback as necessary.
Implement corrective action process as needed.
* Report non-compliant matters to the proper department management.
* Be familiar with employee handbook.
* Responsible for reporting food safety issues to management and/ or Quality Assurance.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications and Requirements:* * Must have machine operator experience and knowledge of all products.
* Good communication and supervisory skills.
* Leadership ability.
* Patience to teach and train others.
* Must be able to perform all job functions/duties of the direct reports at a satisfactory level.
