Thompson Gray is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join the Business Operations team.
The selected candidate will perform various contract administration functions across a spectrum of actions associated with proposals, contract award, and all phases of contract administration.
The selected candidate will be an individual contributor and must be able to succeed while working independently with general supervision.
JOB DUTIES
Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts that are of a variety of types and complexity (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc)
Conduct proposal preparation support and contract negotiation
Serve as main POC for all phases of contract administration with internal and external stakeholders in accordance with company policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs and make recommendations to management.
Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.
Examine estimates of material, equipment, services, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform contract closeout activities.
Maintain detailed, well-organized contract files in accordance with internal system.
Ensure timely submission of all contractual deliverables (CDRLs), invoices, proposals, and data calls.
Support bid preparation and corporate reporting requirements; advise management of contractual rights and obligations; compile and analyze data.
Qualification and KSAs
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
4+ years of contract administration experience
License/Certifications:
Relevant industry certification preferred, such as NCMA CFCM, CPCM, etc.
Software:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
SharePoint experience preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of Government contracting, proposal, and negotiation processes
Working knowledge of Government regulations, FAR/DFARS, and other agency supplements
Experience with price and cost analyses preferred
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
Ability to own work product development and demonstrate initiative and accountability for assigned task areas, effectively coordinating with team members across various organizations
Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm and client
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Extremely detail oriented
Ability to work independently within a team environment and with a customer service focus
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
