Summary:
The Department of Management, Marketing, & Logistics at Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University invites suitable qualified candidates to apply for a full-time faculty appointment in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program.
The rank and tenure-status of the position is negotiable based on qualifications.
Anticipated start date is August 15, 2024.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in the areas of logistics and supply chain management, including Supply Chain Risk Management, Strategic Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Operations Management, Decision Modeling, Quantitative Methods and Business Analytics.
The candidate should also be able to conduct research and publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed supply chain management journals, as well as work collegially with faculty and have the enthusiasm and ability to provide service to the institution, profession and community.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.
):
An earned Ph.
D.
degree (or ABD with anticipated completion by December, 2024) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, Operations Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution.
Candidates with a Ph.
D.
in a related field should have completed at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate level courses in the teaching discipline.

Willingness and ability to develop and sustain partnerships with industry.
Effective Advising - Advise learners toward degree completion and serve as faculty advisor for the major clubs/organizations.
Community Impact - Service on committees in the department, college, university, and participate in local community/regional activities in the field.
Professional work experience in supply chain management is of added value.
