Summary:
Directs, provides leadership, and oversees all coaching duties for an intercollegiate women's Volleyball Program operating under NCAA Division I operating bylaws and regulations.
Directs and coordinates all aspects of recruitment and training for athletic competition, and oversees the planning and fiscal management of program activities.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training and competition.
• Recruits student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations through scouting, attending tournaments, and home visits.
• Directs all aspects, areas and components of sports team (i.
e.
, defense, offense, or various individual positions).
• Coordinates all strategic aspects of the specific sports program.
• Represents sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
• Manages daily operations of the athletic program; directs, supervises, and coordinates all administrative facets.
• Oversees all aspects of the financial operation of the athletic program.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.
):
Bachelor's degree and at least three (3) years of experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the essential duties and responsibilities.
