Teachers Aide

WellStone is North Alabama's most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider serving over 13,000 persons annually throughout Northern Alabama, with offices in Huntsville and Cullman.
We are a non-profit community organization that offers a wide range of services for every phase of life, from children to older adults.
In this position, you will be provide support to the Academy staff and children.
You will also assist the van driver with overseeing the children when they are being dropped off or picked up.
This is a part time position (Monday-Friday 8AM-12PM).
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Good driving record Excellent Oral and Written Communication SkillPrefer experience with children ages 3-5 years old What you'll be doing: Provides support of children enrolled in the Nova Academy Administrative Support Duties to include recording attendance, signing children in/out of program Assist in contacting families when a child is sick or needs to be picked up from the program Oversight of a child that may need individualized attention, with guidance provided either by the Program Manager and/or the Therapist Provide Teachers a break when requested or necessary Ride the Van assisting clients while either being dropped off or picked up for the Program Assisting in Chaperoning during Field Trips Assist in answering questions, distributing information to parents Assist Teacher during activities Escort child to restroom facilities when necessary Assist in the distribution of meals Other administrative and support functions as requested or assigned by the Program Manager.
This position is part time, Monday-Friday (8AM-12PM).
