Substitute Teacher- up to PreK

Village of Promise in Huntsville, AL is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers on an on-call basis.
As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the educational process during the absence of our regular teaching staff.
This position offers flexibility with varying hours between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, depending on the needs of the school.
Type: On-Call, As Needed Basis (will be a W2 status) Compensation: $75 per working day Hours: Vary between 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Ages: 6 weeks to Pre-K Responsibilities: - Implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
- Maintain a positive and effective learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a productive and safe atmosphere.
- Provide instruction, assistance, and support to students as needed.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
Qualifications: - Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent - Valid teaching certificate or substitute teacher certification.
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
- Flexibility to work on short notice.
- Must be able to pass DHR required background check Note: This position is on an as-needed basis, and hours may vary.
Successful candidates will be added to our substitute teacher pool and contacted when substitution opportunities arise.
