As a Preschool Teacher at St.
Andrew’s Little Saints, you’ll create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence.
You’ll help guide these little ones through small group instruction as they grow their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information.
Teachers would have direct and primary responsibility for a group of children.
The work of this position is in accordance with the highest standards for day care centers, and is under the supervision of the Director.
* Provides care and protection for assigned children.
* Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child.
* Help children learn about language and literacy, life skills, and more.
* Work with your team to implement the lesson plans from the curriculum.
* Works with Director to establish a flexible daily schedule to meet the developmental needs of the children.
* Plans, prepares and carries out daily growth and learning activities for the children.
* Assures that the children’s equipment and supplies are arranged properly and orderly, and are kept clean and in good condition.
* Assists children as they develop appropriate habits of eating, dressing napping, and toileting.
* Relates with parents, and assists the Director in enforcing operating policies.
* Up-grades performance of duties through reading and discussion, and through professional meetings and workshops.
* Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them.
* Performs other tasks as requested by Director, providing it does not interfere with the direct supervision of the children.
