Position Summary SALARY: Appropriate placement on Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees Salary Schedule E1, Grade 2 Salary Range $49,686 - $66,832 (12 month – Exempt) Continuation of position is contingent upon grant funding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Institutional Research Coordinator shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the J.

Produce critically important data to help guide policy recommendations for the College and planning processes for the administration Provide reporting, assessment, benchmarking, planning, and public information services to support and respond to the needs of the College Assist with the completion of college, state, and federal reports (i.
e.
, IPEDS, ACHE, DAX, accrediting agencies, etc.
) Assist with maintaining local and external sources of data (i.
e.
, PDP, Student Achievement Data, GradCast, etc.
) Create ad hoc reports as needed for local and external data needs Develop data collection instruments and assist in collecting and analyzing data in support of strategic planning, operational planning, community needs assessments, and grant development, implementation and management Provide support for campus academic and administrative units in research methods and design, data processing, and analysis Assist with designing, compiling, and publishing the Drake State Annual Report and Fact Sheets Maintain confidentiality of identified sensitive information and departmental information (survey data, program data, etc.
) Use computer-based information system services, including BANNER, to retrieve and enter data and to assist the office as needed Assist with the collection of career placement, licensure, and other employment statistical data for reporting purposes Assist with enhancing data literacy across campus by identifying and providing planning units with the data needed for planning and institutional effectiveness and improvement Assist administrative and instructional units in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data Assist with the creation, implementation, and monitoring of key college metrics Assist with certification and accreditation processes Assist instructional and administrative units with planning and assessing outcomes Retain and submit documentation as requested to support accreditation efforts Help design, gather, analyze, and report complex statistical education data, employing a variety of statistical and analytical methodologies and techniques Perform other work-related responsibilities as assigned Job description may be modified or altered at any time by management Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution Minimum of one year of experience collecting, tracking, analyzing, documenting, and/or presenting data Knowledge of research processes, including data collection, analysis, and use of computer hardware and software pertinent to institutional research Ability to work with data dictionaries and the use of computer applications to manipulate data and produce statistical reports and analysis Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to analyze, proof-read, and comprehend complex documents Experience with compilation of complex documents, including hyperlinks, charts, table of contents, etc.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, other employees, and the public, and project a professional and congenial demeanor Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic Excellent speaking, writing and organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge of standardized/statistical reporting and use of statistical methods pertinent to institutional research Experience with Alabama Community College System Data Access and Exchange (DAX) Experience with Banner and Argos Ability to use analytical software such as Microsoft PowerBI, SPSS, Tableau, and/or SAS Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other query and programming languages relevant to institutional research Work experience in a higher education setting Experience developing and maintaining data management processes DESIRED PROFILE: Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments: Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy and mission of a community and technical college Sensitivity and commitment to cultural diversity Ability to handle multiple tasks and various situations in a calm and professional manner Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines Commitment to teaching and learning, where recent high school graduates, adult students, and non-traditional students are involved Application Procedures/Additional Information Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and must submit a complete application packet through the NEOED on-line application system to be considered.
