The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Must have a current Class-A CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to perform physically demanding aspects of the job including loading and unloading delivery trucks.
Possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, customers, and outside contractors.
Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently in the highest regard to quality and safety.
Must follow company protocols and provide inputs for continuous improvement to all processes
The following duties will vary according to the needs of the department.
Normal duties will include:
Deliveries from Aviagen farms to Elkmont, AL
Deliveries to Aviagen hatcheries.
Maintaining Bio-Security and Animal Welfare protocols
Adhere to DOT regulations including accurately maintaining electronic driver log entries
As part of employment at Aviagen, our employees cannot own at their home address any type of birds (chickens, turkeys, parakeets, emu's, etc) or come into close contact with birds thru family, friends, neighbors, flea markets, etc.
