General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Credit, and in compliance with established policies and procedures, the Credit Processor I performs support functions for the credit department.
Functions may include such tasks as credit investigation, credit evaluation and approvals, data entry, identifying and monitoring company liability, dealer and/or customer correspondences.
Essential Functions:
To perform credit duties requiring extensive phone usage and strong communications skills.
Acquire credit information from creditors to determine sale and credit limits.
Approve/verify invoices and decision accounts within delegated credit authority and established credit policy.
Assist dealers with questions and resolve problems regarding accounts.
Build and maintain good dealer relations.
Prepare reports as needed for dealers or management using proprietary software as well as Microsoft products.
Evaluate various reports determining company credit risk and exposure.
Maintain select correspondence and/or documentation received from customers and dealers via data entry or imaging.
May operate one or more standard office machines such as a computer, scanner, fax machine, printer and copier.
Perform job-related research from internet.
Assist Dealer Service Department as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Generally good, with little exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, dust or other adverse factors.
Considerable effort and eyestrain from continued checking on the accuracy of all work leaving the department.
Minimum Level of Preparation and Training
A high school diploma or equivalent
Phone based customer service experience preferred

Excellent phone based customer service skills
The ability to accomplish multiple objectives in a fast paced environment
Strong communication and team-work skills
The ability to develop knowledge of bank product, services, and processes
The ability to develop a thorough understanding of bank specific software
The ability to operate basic office equipment
Have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Applications of Word, Excel, and Outlook
Bilingual is a plus
