Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Provide care and supervision for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and educational activities
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the daycare
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive and supportive team atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nannying, babysitting, or caregiving roles preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of children and maintain discipline when necessary
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, and other staff members
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs of each child
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
