QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/GED and at least one year of experience in the childcare field or customer service industry.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Basic skills and knowledge of computer software applications.
Must have an upbeat, creative, fun and learning attitude.
Certification for child and infant CPR and Basic First Aid is required.
Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which includes a background check, drug and alcohol screening.
Experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and aptitude to perform the defined duties.

MISSION STATEMENT:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Represents the CWAC brand while providing a high level of customer service to visitors and members.
Maintains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with CPRST core values.
Administers opening and closing responsibilities for the childcare facilities.
Supervises and monitors the safety of all children.
Ensures all children are maintaining good hygiene while the in care of the staff.
Changes infant and toddler diapers as needed or every 30 minutes in a clean and controlled manner.
Greets all parents/guardians at drop off and ensures only those authorized to pick up children are allowed to do so.
Controls substances children may be allergic to and notes any medical issues that may arise with certain children in their care.
Communicates with parents/guardians any issues that may occur while in the care of the staff.
Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment at all times.
Communicates with the Childcare Lead any and all conflicts or issues with children, parents, or guardians.
Ensures child to caregiver ratios are always at or above industry standard and requirements.
Knows emergency procedures in the event of a medical or situational emergency.
Assists the Childcare Lead in maintaining childcare supplies including wipes, diapers, and facility cleaning supplies.
Attends all meetings as required by superiors.
Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Supervisors, Personnel and Community.
Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
Performs other duties as assigned by superiors.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The work area is well lighted, ventilated, and heated.
Occasionally work outdoors where there is a potential to be exposed to various weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed both inside and outside and requires the physical and mental ability to handle large crowds, multi-task and operate a computer.
Work also requires moderate lifting and the ability to walk, stand, bend, and sit while performing various job duties.
