Child Care Worker

The Childcare Worker is a part-time staff position who cares for children of the parish prior to and during Sunday church services and other agreed upon events.
Childcare worker must be comfortable interacting with children and working with church staff and volunteers.
Qualifications need to include * Minimum 1 year of previous experience working with children ages 0-5 years.
* Patience and love for children * CPR/First Aid certification (Church can reimburse for fees associated with completion of CPR certification course including infant and toddler CPR) * Agree to and undergo a background check * High school graduate or GED equivalent * Be of good moral character * Completion of Safeguarding God's Children (a web-based course required in the Episcopal Church for any person having contact with a child) Duties include but are not limited to * Arriving at the church 15 minutes prior to start of services and events to set up room and prepare to receive children.
Stay after worship service/events to ensure all children have been picked up and that the room has been cleaned up.
* Providing childcare for children during worship services and Sunday school and during occasional scheduled evening activities at the church.
This may include all elementary aged children for evening activities.
* Keeping track of current supplies and notifying supply needs to Children's Ministry coordinator.
* Communicating with the parents/guardians about their children's time spent in the nursery * Keeping the child care space clean and organized, including putting away toys, wiping off surfaces as needed * Engaging in free play with the children Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $15.
00 per hour Expected hours: 4 – 4.
